Mid-course crisis

Yes i think i'm going through one of those. It's when you're so close yet not quite there yet, and you start getting tired of doing the same thing again and again and again. It's the point where you know so much about the course and it hits you, shit you're not really enjoying what you're doing. I know i'm supposed to i mean it's been 4 yrs, was that just the honeymoon period or God forbid, have i been lieing to myself all these years?? maybe it's the stifling environment 4th yr creates, you know, you're stuck with a bunch of journals the lecturer 'recommends' you read before the exams but you havent made heads or tails out of, assignments start flooding in, lecturers start expecting you to remember subjects learnt in 1st yr (you conveniently had it recycled for 'how i met your mother' quotes), and when not only is there a shortage of patients but patients start noshing you all the time!
Life isnt very pretty for me at the moment unfortunately. What's left to do but to go with the flow and do my best?

Seeing you

Windows to the soul they say.

Eyes are fascinating, not to mention one of the most challenging features to draw. Believe me i've tried many times, only to result in many blank stares. Eyes are beautiful and mysterious, they can barely be called windows. They are not there for all to peep into nor are they blank expressionless. Windows bring about the connotation of tranparency and eyes are so far from that.
They can hide a lifetime of secrets dont you think? However i do believe that eyes draw you in, and make you wonder what have they seen? what hides behind them?
Eyes are beautiful and mysterious in that way. Eyes are clues to the soul.

the notebook

The best love is the kind that awakens the soul; that makes us reach for more, that plants the fire in our hearts and brings peace to our minds. That's what I hope to give you forever...
